She Rio told Henley the worst, I thought to myself "girl I knew that would happen!" I cried with her and wanted to do harm to Saul.I fell into the book after the first page. I resented the ringing phone because of the interruptions! This is so like a small town with all of it's lies and hidden secrets. This could be a real place and real events. I have read almost all books by this author and it's not only the characters, but the realism of the story and how the hurt of damaged can heal. You'll want to read this, but lock yourself in a room with no phone and a Do Not Disturb sign because you quickly be involved in this story! So he confuses me because I know I'm supposed to like him I just felt like he didn't really show the love and passion that I wanted him to show for Henley. I wanted that Kiro watching Indiana Jones with Emmy kinda feel 😭 but the only passion I really read from him was in the bedroom (which, not complaining on that part) or anger from his messed up life (totally understandable). I just wanted more from him and would love a second book that's mostly about Henley and him after the messed up parts of their life.Henley kinda gave me Harlow vibes. ESPECIALLY with all the drama that she finds out. It was like another twist happens on every single page! You think you know everything but Abbi says "turn the page 😈" and BOOM something else happens. All because of Gran.
