Every time I get my hands on a Lex Martin book, I get giddy as a child on Christmas! She didn't disappoint me this time either!I love the deeper meaning, with addressing both fostercare and drinking addiction. Gabby is struggling with not feeling good enough and not worthy because of bad foster care, and Raider was looked down on in his hometown because of his drunken father.When Poppy is left on the doorstep at Halloween, I swooned so hard over the way Raider instantly fell in love with her and took care of her!
